Meetings

Llandyfriog Community Council normally meet on the first Tuesday of every month apart from August at 7.30 pm in the Church Hall Llandyfriog at Llandyfriog, Newcastle Emlyn.

Disabled Access

The meeting room is not wheelchair accessible. When the room is used as a polling station, a removable access ramp is employed. There are no disabled toilets, designated parking bays or other facilities for disabled people, however the clerk states that “the community council would try and accommodate the needs of less-abled councillors or members of the public, should the need ever arrive”.

Language Policy

Although meetings are normally conducted through the medium of Welsh, a member of the Community Council would offer simultaneous translation should any non-Welsh member of the public attend.

Right of the public to speak

They are happy to provide the opportunity for any member of the community to address the Council “with any relevant issues providing a suitable written request is made prior to the meeting”.

Minutes of Meetings

Minutes of the meeting are all in Welsh and held by the clerk. They are available 2 weeks after the meeting.

Notifications of Vacancies and Elections

Statutory notices are placed are placed on the notice boards in Penhriwllan, Llandyfriog, Henllan, Adpar.

Complaints

The Community Council has a code of conduct and practice signed by all members. The Community Council is also a member of member of One Voice Wales (Un Llais Cymru) who provide advice to the members. Complaints can also be discussed with the legal department of Ceredigion County Council.
